USA and EEC

This graph indicates the number of registered unemployed people in the USA and EEC from 1972 to 1981.
In 1972, the USA men and women had the highest number of registered unemployed and it was approximately 5 million. The second highest number of registered unemployed in 1972 was the EEC men and women which was approximately 2.8 million. The difference between these 2 levels is around 2.2 million. The USA men and EEC men didn’t show any inflation, so for the USA men it was approximately 2.1 million while for the EEC men it was about 1.7 million. Although USA men had a higher number of unemployment level than EEC men, they were almost the same. In 1973, the USA men and women had also the highest number of registered unemployed. It was EEC men and women with 2.6 million. The USA men and the EEC men didn’t have much difference between the 2 levels , although the USA men was a little bit higher than EEC men. In 1974 and 1975 , the USA men and women increased from 5 million to 7.9 million which was the largest rise. The USA men and EEC men and women had the same number of unemployed which was 3 million. Yet , EEC men didn’t change a lot during  the 3 years ; it was approximately 2 million. From 1975 to 1979 , the USA men and women decreased and then increased from 6 million to 9 million.
In summary,  levels for men and women in both the USA and EEC reached 9 million by 1981.
